Goat Manure
Goat manure delivered by the lorry or pickup load for farms, orchards and gardens. Smaller orders in bags.

Goat manure comes out as small dry pellets. It has less water than cow dung, so it is lighter to carry, it smells less and it spreads easily.
It feeds the soil slowly and improves its structure. Farmers use it on kitchen gardens, greenhouse crops, avocado and macadamia holes, coffee, flowers and lawns.

Using it well
How to apply goat manure
Planting holes
Mix a few spadefuls into the soil you put back in the hole. Do not let fresh manure sit against young roots.
Vegetable beds
Dig it into the top layer a week or two before planting so it settles into the soil.
Top dressing
Spread a thin layer around established plants and water it in, keeping it off the stems.
Compost first if unsure
Pile it with green material and turn it for a few weeks. Well-rotted manure is safe on almost any crop.
Questions
Goat Manure: common questions
Why goat manure instead of cow dung?
Goat pellets are drier, so a bag carries more manure and less water. They are easier to spread and smell less. Both improve soil; goat manure is simply easier to handle and transport.
Can I put goat manure straight on my vegetables?
Mix it into the soil before planting, or use it once it has rotted. Fresh manure placed right against seedlings can scorch them.
How do you sell it?
Mostly loose, by the pickup or lorry load, tipped where you want it on the farm. Smaller orders can go in bags. Tell us how much land you are covering and we will suggest a quantity.
Is it good for avocado and macadamia?
Yes. Many growers in Nyeri, Murang'a and Kiambu mix manure into planting holes and add a layer each year before the rains.
