Why Boma Rhodes
The hay Kenyan farmers ask for by name.
Boma is a Rhodes grass variety bred for East African conditions. It grows tall and leafy, handles dry spells and makes hay that cows, goats and horses eat with little waste.
Leafy and fine-stemmed
More leaf means more of the bale gets eaten.
Sun-dried and baled
Cut, dried in the field and tied into square bales.
Stores well
Dry bales keep for months in a roofed, raised store.
Fits every animal
Dairy, beef, goats, sheep, horses and rabbits.

Questions
Before you order
Short answers to what farmers ask us most. More on the questions page.
Where is Freha Enterprise based?
We are in Nyeri, in Nyeri County. Hay, manure and silage are dispatched from here to farms across Kenya, and you can also collect.
Which areas do you deliver to?
Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Laikipia, Nyandarua, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi, Kiambu, Nairobi, Nakuru, Machakos, Kajiado and Isiolo. If your county is not listed, ask us; we deliver further for larger orders.
What is the minimum order?
There is no fixed minimum. Small orders are easiest within Nyeri and nearby counties. For longer trips, a bigger order brings the delivery cost per bale or bag down.
How do I pay?
We agree the price with you before dispatch, including delivery. Payment details are confirmed on the call or WhatsApp chat when you order.
Why are prices not listed on the website?
Hay and silage prices move with the seasons, and delivery depends on distance and load size. We quote the actual price for your order on the day, so you know the full cost before you commit.
